| This course focuses on a conceptual foundation for understanding nursing informatics and includes analysis of various applications of information systems within the context of the health care system. Elements covered include theoretical models of nursing informatics; healthcare computing; information processing and data management; data acquisition and data representation; nursing vocabularies and nursing knowledge representation; managing organizational change; ethical and social issues in healthcare informatics; and consumer informatics. | |||||
